This 2-day Instructor led course is an excellent step for current and aspiring Project Coordinators ready to advance their career. This course provides a comprehensive understanding of the essential activities a Project Coordinator needs to be able to succeed in this busy and varied role. You’ll also learn about key themes such as defining project scope, scheduling concepts, understanding budgets, reviewing quality requirements, and how to support the project manager and team throughout the project lifecycle.

This course will not only introduce you to the basics of project management but will also explain and expand on how to perform these activities and why they are required. From project lifecycle and methodologies through to minute taking, stakeholder management, and project scheduling fundamentals, this course is designed for you to be able to add value quickly and build on foundational skills.   • Scheduling fundamentals
  • Managing scope changes using change control processes
  • The significance of tracking risks, issues, and quality by maintaining registers

PC101 (Project Coordinator 101) Details

This session is a mixture of theory and discussion and practical group-based learning involving post-it notes, markers, flip chart paper. An easy to understand and practical case study is used throughout the course. No laptops are required, all learning resources are supplied.

Ideal for individuals who have no previous experience with project management. Also ideal for those wishing to develop an understanding of project management as they progress into Project Administration and/or Project Coordination.

No prerequisite is required for attendance on this session, but any prior experience or knowledge of project management will be a definite advantage

2 days (14 hours) – Typically 8:45 am for an 9 am start and a 4:30 pm finish with 1 hour for lunch and short morning and afternoon tea breaks.
