Change Management

This is the session to introduce Change Management and its value to those who may not be convinced of its importance. This course focuses on PROSCI’s approach to Change Management, namely the ADKAR process that outlines in easy to understand and follow steps, the major disciplines required to prepare a group of people, an organisation or a community for the change that they may be involved in but certainly will be subjected to. All participants will take away a learning guide and some change management tools for use back in the workplace.

Dependency Management

This session introduces members of the project, programme and portfolio communities to the often overlooked concept of Dependency Management. This discipline helps ensure that all projects have been assessed for macro and micro level dependencies to ensure that integration is achieved successfully and that timelines are accurately projected and delivered. All participants will take away a learning guide and some dependency management tools for use back in the workplace.

Running Effective Meetings

This course is for anyone in the organisation that regularly attends or more importantly, organises meetings. This course delivers training no how to prepare for a meeting, how to run the meeting and how best to follow up a meeting. It also covers off how to deal with different behaviours from various attendees in a meeting. All participants will take away a learning guide and some meetings tools for use back in the workplace.

Benefits Management and Business Cases

This course is a great introduction into the concept of benefits management and business cases. This course is perfect for those wishing to learn for the first time the concept of benefits on projects, programmes and portfolio. Attendees will also learn about the 5 key ‘cases’ that a good Business Case should address (strategic, management, financial, commercial and economic) along with learning about return on investment analysis tools like NPV, IRR and ROI calculations. Attendees will learn how best to use these tools to enhance their Business Case. All participants will take away a learning guide and benefits management and business case tools for use back in the workplace.

Resource Management

This course is designed to help those in the project, programme and portfolio community get a better understanding of resource in its many forms. Those who attend will learn about the difference between ‘bottom up’ and ‘top down’ resource planning, the different types of resources, the use of generic and named resourcing when trying to deal with capacity, utilisation and demand. This is a critical skill for any organisation to develop to ensure that it is in a strong position to deliver its commitments. All participants will take away a learning guide and resource management tools for use back in the workplace.

Daily Task Management

On this course, attendees are taught how to prioritise and manage their tasks using the principle of Rocks, Pebbles and Sand. This principle is then put to practical using tools commonly found in Microsoft Office like Planner, ToDo, Lists, Outlook and Project. All participants will take away a learning guide and task management guides for use back in the workplace.
